XP locks up shortly after boot

Yesterday was Windows Update day. Today I had three computers locking up after they booted. This is a hard lock, mouse pointer freezes and keyboard doesn't work at all. After a couple hours removing a virus and it still wasn't fixed, I went through every startup item and started them manually. I found the culprit, clistart.exe. It appears MS broke something in the ATI software in this latest round of Windows Updates. Turn off clistart.exe in msconfig and it works fine.
